PRYES FEATHER BOWLING LEAGUE
The Pryes Brewing Feather Bowling Fall League runs from September 23, 2024 - December 11, 2024, with the championships taking place the week of December 19 2024.
Match days are Tuesdays or Wednesdays — select your preferred match day at registration. Schedule is first come, first served — teams will be notified of schedule.
Games are limited to 1 hour (rotating so teams can play against each other) and run from 6-9pm— please arrive 10-15 minutes early to check in.
You will need a team of at least 4 people - backups recommended.
Teams will need to select a captain, which will be the main point of contact for the group.
League fees are a discounted rate of $120 + tax total (usually $240) through Labor Day for your team and include take-home beer during welcome week and the championship week, weekly prizes, and more.
About the Game
Feather bowling, which originated in Belgium, is similar to curling and bocce ball. Each team rolls wooden balls that are shaped like cheese wheels to try and get as close as possible to the feather at the other end of the lane.
FEATHER BOWLING RULES
Two teams of two or more play rock, paper, scissors. Winners roll dark balls and roll first.
Split the teams evenly on each side of the court. For example, 2 from light team and 2 from dark team on either end.
Teams alternate rolling towards the feather from the same side of the court.
Balls that leave the turf or fail to pass the half-court are removed from play.
After all balls are rolled, one point is awarded for each ball closer than the opponent’s closest ball.
Win the round and roll first next round from the opposite side of the court.
First team to ten points wins!
